About Miss Michigan Volunteer
The Miss America Volunteer Pageant is one of the nation's leading achievement programs and providers of scholarship assistance for young women. These scholarship awards and leadership opportunities are not just for the handful of women who become Miss Volunteer America, but are also available to the young women across the country who compete in local and state competitions.
The Miss Volunteer America Competition was first organized by a group of dedicated volunteers who had the desire to educate and inspire the next generation of volunteers, therefore the pageant was born in the heart of Jackson, Tennessee, also known as the “Volunteer State”.
Today, Miss Volunteer America and its local and state organizations are growing to help aid young women in their pursuit of higher education. This unique organization provides scholarships and teaches the importance of community service at every level of competition.
